Sam and I have been together through thick and thin of a year now. We both respect each other in every single way and that's the main thing in a relationship. Everything else comes later. We went to college together but didn't meet each other until 2 months before leaving altogether which is pretty lucky, and maybe the reason we're so close now. Sam's an amazing musician and I went to see him play live just after we met. Love struck are the words I would use. The whole getting together was pretty quick and we spent as much time together as possible. I was going to Australia that summer so we got to know each other pretty fast.
We've come to learn we're pretty much the same person and that's really good because we have so much to talk about and  we can go places together and never get bored and we'll both have a really great time. Honestly, I never thought I would have a relationship like this. I know I'm only 19 but my past relationships haven't been all that nice and dandy. Everything happens for a reason, and when you find a good guy, you'll know it. After getting my unconditional offer from Liverpool we have been so excited to get a place of our own. The pipe dream lives on, but being students and never having a proper job due to concentrating on education etc. (Don't say I'm lazy for not having a job, I'm clearly not.) ANYWAY, yeah so I've been using my savings from birthdays, etc to buy cute little things that will make our happy home, happy. Sam, being a musician.. has it's strengths and flaws. He makes amazing music don't get me wrong but when he comes up with a magical music inspiration in his sleep he gets up and starts to play his guitar at 3 am. This is a hard situation when like me, you need your sleep to be a nice person. So normally, during the daylight hours, I would appreciate such wonders. HOWEVER, the angry tiger comes out to play when I am half asleep and he's got an ear full on a fair few occasions. I've always told him he's gotta reach for the stars otherwise it's such a waste of talent. If you would like to listen to his music go to his Sound cloud page: https://soundcloud.com/samgravesmusic and let him know he's amazing because he deserves it. I don't know how our neighbours are going to feel about his midnight musical delights but I'm sure we'll soon find out. Our art and music like to collide quite often and we inspire each other with themes, song lyrics, influences and cultures.

I made another one of these lists today for the summer! And for once they sound pretty fun and not like the normal-boring ones that pop up on pinterest. Extreme grape war sound good to anyone? no. okay.
So a scary thing happened today, we were home alone in Sam's parents' home, ooh er I hear you say. No, not THAT kind of story. Anyway, after tea we took some pictures because we never do when SUDDENLY i saw a car outside the house. In the dark. In the middle of no-where. And then there was this man walking towards the house. And then we ran upstairs and hid in his room until they drove away again. Don't know what the wanted or needed at an ungodly time of... 8pm. TERRIFIED. No, I'm okay... kinda.

Yesterday I woke up with a crick in my neck and I couldn't move for a good part of the day. NO JOKE I thought my neck was going to snap when I moved it in the wrong way. Sam had to hold both hands behind my neck to lift me up and when it was in the wrong way I screamed so much it scared him. When you don't have your health you feel like you doing everything you've ever wanted to when you're better because you take it for granted everyday. Today, I am better and all I have done is eat steak, clean out my wardrobe and watched eat, pray, love. Interesting life, huh? That's why I wrote the summer list I guess, to make my life more interesting.

6 ways to relieve a cricked neck:
sleep on the side that doesn't hurt much or lie and watch movies.
warm up with a microwave bean neck pillow or hot water bottle.
stretch your muscle very very slowly against the side that hurts.
massage with massage ball or even better a boyfriend.
don't stay still all day and eat chocolate.
Strong paracetamol is good but will make you have naps.

Couples Things To Do

It's April 1st! And that means we're celebrating a whole year!!!!!!! woohoo doggy doo doo.
Today we went to a tiny little cafe in our home town, somewhere brand new! So new, I was nervous to walk in. But we did and oh my golly it was good. Very hipster/retro kinda feel. Their menu was perfection! We can't remember what the place was called, however I can re-call what we ate... Brie and Grape toasted sandwich with salad and a bowl of tomato and basil soup - PERFECTION! Sam had a pulled pork burger, also very lovely.. I had some of his too hah! Next time we are going to try Bear-Steps cafe, decorated to perfection! We then decided to call it a day and came home to a lovely session of Netflix!

Artist Puuung creates these beautiful illustrations of a couple in love! Reminds me of my life everyday with Sam :) This makes me feel like you should take every single moment and treasure it. Even brushing your teeth together, because if you were watching from the sidelines you'd see how special it actually is.
